Amongst my gaming group, of those who have played it, two are either indifferent or dislike the game, whereas I love it, and it is one person’s favourite game of all of our collections. I recommend this game highly to anyone who feels like it could be for them.
My favorite thing about Tapestry, as I alluded to previously, is the myriad of ways a game can unfold. Every game Ive played has progressed completely differently from the last, with players focused on different tracks and strategies to come out ahead.
Rahdo considers Tapestry a wonderful, smooth, and elegant civilization-building game that ranks as his second favorite of all time in the genre, expressing a strong affection for it.
The reviewer highly recommends Tapestry, praising it as an easy-to-learn and highly replayable civilization game that provides a great gaming experience within approximately two hours.
Tapestry is a great civilization themed euro. The unique civilizations and the huge number of tapestry cards give you new direction every game and make for interesting experiences.
I truly enjoy playing Tapestry and am so happy that we purchased it. This is a game that I can see us playing for a long time.
Tapestry is a civilization game, pure and simple. Tapestry’s iteration of a civilization game is no less enjoyable, if only in different ways.
After putting over twenty hours into this game since the beginning of August, I can easily say that we have truly enjoyed the game. Being someone who never seems to have enough time to throw 3-4 hours into a civilization style game, Tapestry was a nice compromise.
The reviewer found Tapestry to be a good, enjoyable solo game with high replayability due to its simple rules and varied gameplay. However, he felt it lacked thematic depth in its civilization-building aspects, particularly regarding the capital board and synergy control, and might not satisfy players seeking an epic civilization experience.
The reviewer praises Tapestry for its stunning production, beautiful artwork, and a deceptively simple ruleset that hides significant strategic depth and offers high replayability. However, they criticize the 'wonky' implementation of the Tapestry cards and the game's somewhat thin theme, suggesting a higher score would have been given with better card integration.
The reviewer found "Tapestry" to be a well-produced game with deep and varied gameplay across its advancement tracks, offering a satisfying puzzle-solving experience. While praising its thoughtful components and standard-setting design, they noted its higher price point and suggested it plays best with fewer, experienced players.
