Fugitive is a tense, two-player asymmetrical deduction card game where one player acts as a fugitive trying to make it out of town while being pursued by a marshal. The fugitive must secretly play hideout cards in sequence to escape, while the marshal uses clues and deduction to track down and uncover the hideouts.
The Verdict
based on 22 reviews
“Number eight we have Fugitive, which is another quick game also made for two players, and as the name suggests there is the fugitive who is trying to escape while being pursued by an unstoppable agent.”
“Shut up and sit down enthusiastically recommends fugitive which deserves as much a place in your collection as that complex you're a game of that different kinds of work or that social reduction party game at least twenty people or that dexterity game you have that always makes a mess”(8:47)
“This is just an incredibly clever game, you get so much in such a little package, very portable, quick, 105 minute game, um, you know, quick enough so that you would want to play both sides. Okay, hey, now I'll be the Marshall and I'll track you down, let's see who does best. I'm really impressed by Fugitive.”(2:39)
“It’s one of those very rare games that doesn’t sound like much at all — not with its fifteen-minute playtime, a single deck of fewer than fifty cards, and rules that take maybe two minutes to explain — but once laid out upon the table reveals itself to be nearly perfect”
“I liked this game I I did not think I was going to like this game that much I really really liked it like really overly liked it the card stock is really good”(37:08)
“It comes in a tiny little box, so if you ever just want a completely unique two-player game, then Fugitive is the one to go for.”
“I really loved this game, though it does take a bit of getting used to in order to play it well as the Marshal.”
“Overall, I think Fugitive is an excellent game for two. It plays fairly quickly (expect a little bit longer the first time you play, but not much) and I love the cat-and-mouse mind games that go on.”
“My final verdict, if this to play game worth your time: absolutely. This small gain is chock-a-block full of value, so much fun and so much debt. It is so portable that you can play this game on the tray, in the car, or while on your holiday.”(4:44)
“The fugitive does an excellent job of trying to make you feel like you're really there you're running you're sweating you you feel the pressure as the fugitive you always think the marshal is more powerful when you're the marshal”(1:17)
“We enjoyed Fugitive. This is the third game I've reviewed of Tim Fowers, and I've seen others played. They all have a unique feel to them. Fugitive is no exception.”
“I really like, I said at the beginning of the review, I think this game could potentially become one of the best hidden movement, you know, nice concise experiences out there.”(13:24)
